Structural characteristics of fertilizer granulator

Feeding device: There is usually a hopper for storing the fertilizer raw material powder or mixture to be granulated. The design of the hopper should ensure that the material can smoothly enter the subsequent processing link, and generally adopts a suitable angle and shape to prevent material accumulation or blockage.

Feeding adjustment mechanism: In order to control the flow of materials entering the granulator, a corresponding adjustment mechanism will be equipped.

Agitator: This is the core component of the mixing system. Its function is to fully mix the incoming materials and temper them with the added steam, water or other adhesives. The shape and structural design of the agitator will affect the mixing effect.

Transmission device: It is used to drive the agitator to rotate, generally composed of a motor, a reducer, a coupling, etc. The motor provides power, and the reducer can reduce the speed and increase the torque to meet the working requirements of the agitator.

Granulating components: For different types of granulators, the structure of the granulating components is different. For example, the granulating part of the roller granulator is two rollers rotating relative to each other, and the material is formed into granules under the extrusion of the rollers; the granulating part of the disc granulator is a rotating disc, and the material is formed into granules on the disc by the action of centrifugal force and friction.

Forming die or screen: Some granulators need to be equipped with a forming die or screen to control the size and shape of the granules. The forming die usually has holes of specific shapes and sizes, through which the material is squeezed or cut into the desired granule shape.

Main transmission device: responsible for driving the main working parts of the entire granulator, such as agitators, granulating parts, etc. to rotate or move. The main transmission device generally uses a motor as a power source, and transmits power to each working part through belt drive, chain drive or gear drive.

Auxiliary transmission device: In addition to the main transmission device, the granulator may also be equipped with some auxiliary transmission devices, such as transmission mechanisms for driving cleaning devices, discharging devices, etc.
